The kick-off of our celebrations
started with a successful Press
Conference attended by 51 local
journalists, which was followed by a
gathering to further discuss Siemens
activities in Egypt.
21.-22.10.2001 - German-Arab
Economic Conference, To celebrate a
century of Siemens corporate presence in
Egypt, Siemens Limited sponsored the
German-Arab Economic Conference, which
brought 500 Middle-, Near East and
German businessmen to discuss practical
ways the region could benefit from doing
business more intensively together.
21.10.2001 - 1100 Top
Guests, The highlight of the 100-years
event was Siemens invitation to
Ministers, Government Officials,
Ambassadors, top VIP clients and
conference participants to celebrate
this unique event at the Media
Production City. Siemens brought its’
guests from a movie set of a Khedival
period when Werner von Siemens first
visited Egypt through a “time tunnel” to
the present day where the Gala Dinner
and a spectacular international show
took place. The evening ended by a
spectacular firework show.
22.10.2001 - 1400
Colleagues, All Siemens Limited, EGTI
and Eurofinance employees and their
spouses attended the celebration at
Haramlek Villa on Sakkara road. All of
the events created a broad awareness of
the long and important history of
Siemens as a global company and as a
central contributor to the economic
health and growth of Egypt.
