Five Egyptian journalists won in the Profile Awards competition across
the African continent. The Profile Awards ceremony was held in South
Africa on March 5th, 09 and the Egyptian journalists were honored
during the ceremony and received prizes of ZAR 15,000 for each
category winner. The Egyptian journalists winners are as follows:
Emad El-Sayed from Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper won in the Healthcare
sector, Mohamed Lotfy and Ahmed Awaad from Al-Alam Al-Youm won in
the Information Technology sector, Hebatallah Abdel Hamid from Alam
Rakamy newspaper won in the Technology related Corporate Social
Responsibility.
For the Industry sector, Abbas Helmy from Arab Electricity
was the merit award winner. The winners were accompanied by Fadi
Botros − from the Corporate Communications department − during their
stay in South Africa.
The main purpose and objective of Siemens Profile Awards competition
in the Egyptian society is to develop and nurture the quality of
writing and reporting in the different media, which are related to
Siemens’ sectors: Energy, Industry and Healthcare.
