Siemens shipped the first batch of CCHF
equipment in two jumbo jet flights, which
arrived on the 1st and 3rd of April in Cairo
International Airport. Both shipments weighed
84 Tons and occupied over 600 m3.
The equipment needed for the soft opening of the
hospital, provides the latest technologies in
cancer treatment including the world’s only 1.5T
Open Bore MRI Magentom Espree as well as the 64
slice CT. An agreement that was signed last year
between Siemens and CCHF, which became effective
mid of December 2006, and included the delivery
and installation of the equipment. Siemens have
so far supplied the CCHF with X-ray equipment
and with the arrival of this shipment, the whole
Radiology Department of the Hospital is
complete.
